Final Thoughts

Our team is nearing the end of the trip. It has been a very fruitful week and God has worked tremendously in our team and in the villagers lives. I feel satisfied that we got a lot of work done on the cistern and that a lot of people heard the Gospel. Today our team went zip lining and drove to Guatemala City to spend the night before we head back home. On the car ride today to Guatemala City I was reminded how much God has provided for me and how he has given me this great opportunity to show God’s love to his children. Farewell to the village

Hello there everyone! This is Cuinn, and I’m going to be taking over the blog today. Today was our last day at the village, and we got a lot of work done on the cistern. We spent a lot of time mixing and pouring concrete, and making trips down to the river to collect water for the project. We worked hard on this cistern all week long, and though we didn’t get to see it completed, working with the locals and seeing the hard work and sacrifices that they make every day in order to bring clean water to the village was truly inspiring. While working on this cistern over the course of the week, I learned to have a good attitude about everything I do. Whether I was caked in concrete after pouring or standing shin high in a polluted river to collect water, having the right attitude made every task a good time.
